"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6
In the midst of any crisis we can have a "woe is me" mentality. We can be overcome by the uncertainty that comes with change. For the last six weeks we have traded the routine and familiar for the "new normal" and we're not even sure what that is from one day to the next! What are we to do?
Most of us have "life verses" that help us through the tough times. Mine are Proverbs 3:5-6. I know that if I TRUST the Lord and ACKNOWLEDGE (look to) Him, He has promised to DIRECT (guide) my way. He is my Hope, He is my Strength, in Him I trust!
Having somewhere to go is HOME. Having someone to love is FAMILY. Having both is a BLESSING!
Along with counting our blessings, here are some things our LCA family has been doing while "Alone Together"
- Remodeling a kitchen and other home improvements
- Making masks and other supplies for healthcare workers
- Training a puppy
- Taking walks
- Enjoying worship music and online worship services
- Games (like Yahtzee) with friends via FaceTime
- Sharing lots of hugs and conversations
- Scrapbooking
Ohio Department of Education Statement regarding Graduations
"While we understand the significance, tradition and rites of passage many of these events represent, particularly for our seniors, schools should hold events virtually rather than conducting in-person events of this type, and record these events whenever possible and practicable. Congregate graduation ceremonies should not be held. Additionally, we recommend holding a virtual or alternate recognition on the original intended graduation date or a date very close to that date."
"School leaders should conduct graduation ceremonies and other recognition events in a remote manner that honors each student in a safe and responsible way, prioritizing the health needs of students, their families and the community."
We may be "socially distant", but Liberty Christian Academy Eagles still soar!
We are planning VIRTUAL renditions of all of the special end of the year activities! They might be virtual, but they will be awesome! Stay tuned!
We are proceeding with plans for Summer Camp and will await clearance from Governor DeWine and from the Department of Health.
