Internet-basics (1,3,6)

What is the internet ?

WHAT DO YOU THINK IT IS ???

This is some of the answers from kids !

The internet is a network that is shared globaly and its made out of billions and billions of electronic devices . The internet helps us communicate with any body anytime and any were . Just go online and you can talk, learn, see and get entertained!

Hi Hello How Are You!

But How? : It is so complicated you see , when you connect to the internet and browse for a particular website your computer sends a request by packets to a sever , and thats were the website is stored. when the request reaches the server , the server addresses back the website data and "waaaala" thats how your website comes together !

As you could see this is the procedure and you are the clients .

How do you connect to the internet?

It’s possible to connect to the internet via a range of devices these days — though desktop and laptop computers, mobile phones and tablets are the most common However, everyday items such as watches, even central heating systems and refrigerators, are now capable of using the internet. In order for any device to actually get online though, requires signing up for a specialised service for accessing the internet.

These internet access services are generally of two types: internet fixed to a specific location and provided by internet service providers, or mobile internet that can be used out and about, which are provided by mobile phone networks. some of the mobile internet services ar dial-up, DSL-cable 3g and 4g and much more.

But how actually did we get the internet access service? you might say it was there or we set it up to our needs. How did you set it ? her is our point you

1.Teachnecly you had to buy a modem that matches your needs. So if you have phone internet you'll use a mobile modem, and if its just a regular internet set up in place you'll buy the usual modem.

2. Next you'll have to buy a router, and a router allows you connect several device on the internet.

3. After purchasing those two devices you may follow the instructions on how to set up your internet or most preferably get a technican to set it up.

internet safety ... !

internet is a big thing and everybody uses it for all different types of reasons like storing documents and personal information as bank account pins, your identification and your private photos so its important to have these stuff procted so nobody hacks your account and use your personal information so you need to put a wall between people and your information and in this case the password is the wall .

People tend to use password that are easy like there name and an order of specific numbers or a 3 letter word and thats a big mistake !

  • NOORA123 OR ABC
  • ASMA123 OR CAT

So i prefer to use hard and strong password that nobody could guess and that are hard should do the trick like :

  • tgF3.8ksrf or NNHS305
  • Try to incorporate lots of letters, numbers, capitalized letters and symbols
  • (a hard password is better than somebody stealing your account and private information
