1. Visit sccollege.edu/Apply to begin your college application at CCC Apply. Be sure to click "continue" in order to complete the SCC portion of the application.
2. Download the the CAP and Acknowledgement Form
3. Submit your CAP Form. Please bring it to your SCC Career Coach located at the Career Center or Library at your school or bring it to SCC (Building E/Admissions & Records)

This entry-level course is designed to introduce students to American Sign Language (ASL) and fingerspelling as it is used within American Deaf culture. Instruction includes preparation for visual/gestural communication followed by intensive work on comprehension through receptive language skills, development of basic conversational skills, modeling of grammatical structures, and general information about American Deaf culture. American Sign Language is equivalent to 2 years of high school ASL.
