Quality Travel Fair October 20th-22nd, 2017 - An Atlantic Link case story

From October 20th-22nd, a delegation from the U.S. Virgin Islands consisting of Dylan Rhyder and Chris Richardson from Sand Castle on the Beach, visited Denmark to promote their hotel and St Croix Frederiksted to Danish travel agents, media and consumers.

Denmark's largest travel magazine, is the organizer behind The quality Travel Fair for travelers with a sense of quality. The fair took place in Øksnehallen in central Copenhagen, which is probably Copenhagen's most exclusive fairground, provides an aesthetical and beautiful setting for this event, located only 5 minutes walk from the Town Hall.

The Department of Tourism, had a booth staffed by Karin Gert Nielsen, Managing Director of USVI Department of Tourism Denmark and her team.

The Quality Travel Fair 2017 opened on Friday, October 20th, for 500 VIP guests, and on Saturday and Sunday, the show attracted more than 16,000 consumers

On both Saturday and Sunday, Karin gave two consumer presentations in front of 300 consumers. The presentations included overview of the islands, location, history, weather, transport options, new developments and an update of the current situation in the U.S. Virgin islands. The delegation from Sand Castle on the Beach also shared the latest developments in Frederiksted.

On Monday, October 23rd, the team organized a tour operator & airline roundtable meeting. The meeting covered a roundtable discussion on the market in general, challenges and opportunities for 2018 and beyond.
