Nature Is Beautiful and Restorative! By Kaylinn WArden

"Even broken in spirit as he is, no one can feel more deeply than he does the beauties of nature." 31

This quotes shows how Frankenstein feels connected to nature. He feels broken but he feels deep and connected to nature than his own feeling.

"...and immediately after their union they sought the pleasant climate of Italy, and the change of scene and interest attendant on a tour through that land of wonders, as a restorative for her weakened frame." 38

His mother was sick and the way she started to feel better was the sensory of Italy. This tied to the theme of nature being restorative, by healing her body.

". I find it arise, like a mountain river, from ignoble and almost forgotten sources; but swelling as it proceeded, it became the torrent which, in its course, has swept away all my hopes and joys." 42

He went to mountains to cry and get peace of mind. Him going to mountain shows that the beauty of land was a way to calm him and bring him back to peace.

"Observe how fast we move along, and how the clouds which sometimes obscure, and sometimes rise above the dome of Mont Blanc, render this scene of beauty still more interesting."244

He was in the mountains for entertainment. I think that shows that nature is full of interesting thing and beautiful thing to watch and enjoy.

"How happy and serene all nature appears!"244

I think this straight out just says that says that source of joy to him. This plays into the theme that nature is restorative to him and bring back joy and happiness in at dark times.
