Expanding my horizons Haaga-Helia’s Bachelor degree in international sales and marketing

On the morning of my first day I realized that studying in Haaga-Helia was going to be a very different experience.

After a well-deserved cup of coffee in the school restaurant, the day started a little strangely... Gathered in the lobby we were introduced to new ways of thinking about our body language and how to improve our posture to appear more professional. Certainly interesting and very entertaining to onlookers!

The beautiful campus is open and inviting.

The rest of the day went by very fast as we were given an assignment for the following Thursday. In preparation for the school event entitled “Campus does good” we were divided into groups and had to come up with ideas for a socially responsible activity that would benefit Porvoo (the city where the campus is located), our campus, and of course ourselves. This idea we would then have to “sell” to the teachers and other students. After a vote 2 teams will be selected to make their project happen.

I was very fortunate and happy that my teammates seemed enthusiastic and capable and I felt we would be doing well.

Our sessions together were productive and we quickly had a project (organizing a blood drive), a presentation, an inforgraphic and a poster.
