12" x 12" wood base, .25" thick

Wood cube, weighing 1.25 pounds

Round dowel, .25" in diameter, sanded to a taper on both ends

String

1/6th" eye hooks

NOTE: NO glue was used

A COMBINATION OF SUPER GLUE, WOOD GLUE, AND TACKY GLUE HELD THE BRIDGE TOGETHER

Wooden dowels, square cross-section, 1/16"

Wood glue

Super glue

Tacky glue

CONSTRUCTION: Joints were clamped to properly cure the glue

Project 03: TRUSSES

In this project, I explored 4 different types of trusses. From top to bottom: symmetrical, variable pitch, asymmetrical, and curved. This exercise was 2-dimensional, meant to facilitate an understanding of what these different types of trusses look like from a design perspective.
