Mountain View NAPLAN Online in 2018
This year at Mountain View Adventist College students from Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 will be participating in the first ever NAPLAN online testing. In May our school, along with a small selection of schools in Australia, will be sitting 4 tests over 9 days using an online platform that allows students to have access to a variety of stimulus material which includes both audio and visual text.
NAPLAN online uses a tailored testing method, which means that each student is able to demonstrate their knowledge with questions that match their test performance. NAPLAN Online will provide better assessment, more precise results and a faster turnaround of information.
To ensure that students are familiar with the online platform and the types of questions in the NAPLAN Online test, our school will be running a practice test next week on 20-22 March. The results from this test WILL NOT contribute to the student’s final NAPLAN scores, but will prepare them with what to expect when completing NAPLAN in May. The test is a 45 minute omnibus test that includes, reading, conventions of language and numeracy. Writing will not be included in the omnibus test.
Please read the flyers below for some further information.
