Early Career

Kirk built a strong passion for photography because of his father, who allowed his son to assist him on his photographic ventures. In 2007, after graduating high school, Kirk moved to Atlanta, Georgia and attended Morehouse College for business marketing. While in Atlanta, Kirk managed to put all of his focus towards his passion, building a great reputation in the process.

Later Career

Now, Cam Kirk is one of the highest requested photographers within the rap community. His ability to compose a photograph is unlike anything anyone has ever seen before. Kirk has worked with artists such as Gucci Mane, 21 Savage, Metro Boomin, Young Thug, 2 Chainz, ScHoolboy Q, Mike Will-Made It, and many, many more. He has had his work published in XXL, Complex Magazine, The Fader, Billboard Magazine, MTV, The Source, Buzzfeed, Pitchfork, BET, and more.

why is kirk famous?

Kirk received major media attention for an art exhibit that he put together in an East Atlanta Village abandoned church, entitled Trap God. This exhibit featured never-before seen photos of rapper Gucci Mane, and was visited by producers Metro Boomin and Sonny Digital, along with rap artist Young Thug, who shot a music video for his song "Again" at the location.

Why CAm Kirk?

I personally love the way that he structures and puts his photos together. He is also fantastic at contrasting between the subject and the setting. Also, I love that he documents the lives and art process of music artists that I admire.
