Andy Potts Racing Camp DAy 3 in Review- Squeeze the LemmOn!

The day started off like most...but got weird real quick as everyone wanted to get into the photos. Andy spent some time demonstrating proper swim technique for everyone to see from a new perspective; underwater.

Everyone tried their best Andy Potts impression... Get those finger tips down, high elbows.

It was a great job by everyone.

To celebrate 2016, this swimmer got a really nice suit... YAY TYR!

Quickly, swimmers were 'dropping on the 9's' and 'pushing off on the 0's'; part of the new swim terms some of our campers learned this week.

The swim session ended with Andy laying down some ground rules for swimming for the rest of the week-

No watches allowed in the pool. Always know your times and splits- we can only get better if we have the information to improve. 'Easy means easy' and 'hard means hard.'

One of the highlights of the week; the Team Cannondale bus dropped off the riders 4 miles from the base of iconic Mt. Lemmon.

The goal for today was a steady z3 ride for about 1-1:30 after a warm up for the climb.

While many were working hard; it was impossible not to enjoy the scenery.

Despite snow recently, it was a cool 75 degrees and beautiful. No ice in sight although we did see one car with about a foot of snow on its roof.

Despite 'doing work', Andy was able to leap frog through the group and spend about 5-10 minutes with each rider providing tips on cycling efficiency, improving form, how to climb, descend and ride their bikes to their fullest potential. If he really cared, he would have offered a hand up the mountain too.
