Week 1 Autumn term two

This week in number work we did a pre-assessment for multiplication.

We are learning to write the two times table in our books using arrays.

In English we created our own newspaper about the Fire of London.

The children wrote a newspaper report in their books. The teacher gave verbal feedback using seesaw. The children will correct their work next week.
The children have enjoyed supporting each other to upload their work to Seesaw.
You will have to look very closely to see the huge spider’s web the girls found on the playground. Just like Charlotte’s web from the story! Harvey noticed the curved lines we have been finding so tricky to draw.
We received a letter from a mystery person with a lovely message...

We talked about why it is important to have dreams and what it means to be yourself. Then we wrote about our hopes and dreams.

We have started to read a lovely book in English, all about being yourself.
A mermaid themed phonics job sorting verbs we later used in our writing. We sorted the words onto a Venn diagram showing words containing consonant clusters, words with the ‘ir’ or ‘ur’ phoneme and words with both.
We have started to learn to tell the time. Look at the concentration!
