Where are you now/what are you up to?

Following graduation, I spontaneously/unexpectedly moved to Berlin, Germany after being offered a contract to play for 1. FC Lübars in the Frauen Bundesliga, or as my family likes to tell everyone - I left one day for a summer trip with the national team and never boarded my flight back home. This past summer I signed with a new club in Berlin and was also accepted into the European School of Management and Technology, where I am currently studying to get my master’s degree. On the off chance I’m not playing or studying, I’m most likely hanging out with my teammates, who never pass up a chance to make fun of my accent, or traveling to a new European city with friends.

What is your favorite memory as a Bison?

It’s hard to choose but I think my favorite on-field memory was our comeback game at Lehigh my junior year. After giving up two quick goals and being down 2-0 at half, we rallied back with an unbelievable 45 minutes to tie it 2-2 and then went on to win in double overtime.

What is your biggest piece of advice to current or aspiring Bucknell Women’s Soccer players?

Definitely to enjoy every minute you get playing with your best friends by your side each day. As someone who’s senior year was unexpectedly cut short due to injury, you never really know when your last opportunity to step on the field will be, so appreciate every chance you get because sooner or later your last game will come and afterwards all you’ll have left to look back on are the memories you made, so make them good ones. And also, always be nice to the people with unlimited cafe swipes.

What makes you most proud about Bucknell?

The sense of community and pride that surrounds Bucknell. Whether it be current students or alumnae, I’ve never seen a group of people speak so fondly and proudly about having attended a university, nor have I ever been able to connect with each person I’ve crossed paths with in such a way as I can with those in the Bucknell community.

What was the most valuable thing you learned/gained from your time at Bucknell?

Aside from everything I learned in the classroom and that country music is actually awesome, single-handedly the greatest thing I gained is the lifelong friends that I made throughout my years at Bucknell, both on and off the field.
