Celebration in the Oaks

Celebration in The Oaks starts tonight in city park. The display includes 500 thousand lights across two miles with decorations like New Orleans landmarks, alligators, and more. Admission is nine dollars and for five dollars more you can ride the train around the park.

Krewe of Jingle

The Krewe of Jingle parade rolls for its fourth year on Saturday, December 3. The parade will start at Lee Circle at 1 p.m. and travel through New Orleans’ Central Business District. There will be floats, marching bands and dance troupes will all be spreading the holiday cheer.

Art Against Aids

Come tomorrow to Club XLIV at the Superdome for the 30th annual Art Against AIDS. There will be cocktails, entertainment, and of course art and food from New Orleans finest. Patron tickets are $250 and all proceeds go to NO/AIDS Task Force.

Meschiya Lake

From nine to midnight Saturday, December 3, Meschiya Lake will be playing at Maggs 940. Meschiya Lake is a well known artist from New Orleans and has gotten praise from The New Yorker, The Times Picayune, Offbeat Magazine, and much more. Doors to the show open at 8:30 p.m and the cover charge is $5.
