The Stevenson Titan Touchdown Club Newsletter July 2020

Want to thank the Titan Families for your patience and diligence during our summer training. We seem to be getting updates by the hour of "DOs & DON'Ts" and I appreciate everybody's willingness to help along the way.

We had a GREAT camp this summer. We used 9 days of the allotted 10 that the state of Michigan provided us. Our players & coaches got used to our "new normal" of checking into practices, taking temperatures, answering questions, and sanitizing. The outpouring of parents who went ABOVE AND BEYOND to donate waters, THANK YOU!!

Our trainer was on point keeping our kids safe and monitoring situations as they arise. Our TTC has been putting in countless hours of meetings and time spent on various tasks. We finished our Gold Card sales which went GREAT. Thank you to Andrea, Judy, Corry, Bob, Roni for all your work. We have teams together working on our Programs, advertisements, Golf Outing, decals, apparel and many more things to pull off a HS Season.

Exciting news that the new Runkel field scoreboard is going in and looks awesome. We've been told it should be completed in the next week or so. We received more good news from the MHSAA (Michigan High School Athletics Association) Friday July 31st on what the football season is going to look like when we start August 10th. As coaches, we are preparing and implementing the new protocols which is causing us to revise the practice schedule and adjust the calendar. In short, we are allowed to start on August 10th in helmets and can begin full pads the week of Monday August 17th. The MHSAA also cancelled all scrimmages with other teams and will be making an announcement on week 1 of the season by August 20th. We will keep everyone posted as to any developments.

We are excited to begin the season and I know the players can't wait to get back at it. Look forward to a GREAT fall!

Gold Card Fundraiser!

Thanks to all the players and all those who participated in this year's Gold Card fundraiser. Our Titan players REALLY stepped up and we had a successful fundraiser.

Great job everyone!

As our Titans hit the field, some changes needed to be made due to the Covid-19 pandemic. One of those big changes was how we supply water to our players. Each player, MUST, bring an ample supply of water to get them through the hot summer workouts. We understand players may run out or forget to bring water, so we are collecting cases of water for these situations. Please consider donating a case of water by visiting our Sign Up Genius below.
