Value, Emphasis, & Unity Rylie TEvlin :)

"Behind the Sea"

My artwork looks like a bottle with a whole world inside of it. My subject matter is nature mixed with fantasy. In my work, the bottle is most obvious. I created my artwork with watercolor paint. I used the colors I did to make a realistic image. I also used a method of layering the paint everyday to make a perfect balance of colors. The inspiration for my artwork was from a song called "Behind the Sea." This inspired the idea of a world inside a bottle. This shows a social issue as if you're in your own world all by yourself. My goals as an artist is to have others relate to my work. I also reached my goals of using value, emphasis, and unity. I reached this goal by having a set subject, shading, and a painting with a balance of colors. I learned the importance of having a whole drawing based on a set subject. My thoughts on my project is that it turned out how I imagined.
