Process by Hannah Whitney

I first started by looking through an art book that have some really cool abstract ideas and pen textures. The mountainous texture inspired me to do some kind of mountain pen and ink drawing. I also saw a picture of an old woman online that I though would be cool to mix with geometric shapes.

I then looked at a few photos for reference to sketch my ideas in my sketchbook

I liked the idea I traced with the woman and the circular geometric image. I just tested some stuff out from there. I then proceeded to sketch with pen and ink for my first drawing draft.

When I had a clear idea of what I wanted to do, I started my first final project, starting by sketching in pencil

I then began sketching out my second project. For this project, I decided not to use pencil with every detail. I kinda just went for it. I used this picture as a reference.
