Religion Travels Travelling the world of religion

The company that I work for gave me the chance to travel the world of religion for a week and a half. The first place that I chose to travel to is the city of Jerusalem. The one place in particular I want to visit is the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. The first day I will be flying there and landing in Ben Gurion International Airport. I will update you when I have landed. The airport is very crowded. I will get a hotel and sleep until the next day. I am now on my way to Jerusalem. This place is huge and packed with people of different religions. There are Judaists next to the Western Wall, or the Wailing Wall and Christians next to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. I am now next to the Church. It is very beautiful and majestic inside. It is said that Jesus was buried inside and where his crucifixion took place.

I will stay in Jerusalem to next visit the Dome of the Rock, a 7th century Islamic shrine. I am on day 3 of my trip. It has a gold dome on top of it. Millions of Islamic people visit it every year. It is very magnificent. I see a lot of Islamic women wearing hijabs, a type of robe that covers their entire body. I really hoped that I could have gone inside but I couldn't. This place is very beautiful.

The next site I will be visiting the Wailing Wall, a holy site for Judaism. This is day 4 of my trip. Millions of Jews come to this place every year to weep over the destruction of the holy temples in Jerusalem. It is also called the "Western Wall". It is a part of an older, longer wall that used to surround the city and protect it from attackers. The wall is made of limestone

The next place will be Varanasi, a very famous Hindu pilgrimage site. It is located along the banks of the Ganges in India. I will travel there tomorrow. It is now day 6 of my journey. This place is one of India's seven ancient cities. This is also where many bodies are cremated.

The last place I am going to visit on my journey is Lumbini. This is day 8 of my journey. This is where Buddha was supposedly born. It is a pilgrimage site in the Rupandehi district of Nepal. This place is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. He was supposedly born in 563 BCE.
