Destyne Miller is a director, actor, playwright, poet, and educator. She has a MA in Theatre from the University of Houston and a BA in Theatre Arts from Grambling State University in Louisiana.

She won Best Theatrical Performance at the 2016 Houston Fringe Festival for her original work, Worn Out Soles.

She is currently the Director of Bush Theatrical Ensemble at George Bush High School, where her students finished first runner up in the UIL State One Act Play Contest in 2017, 2018 & 2019.

This is Destyne’s professional debut as a Director.

Christian Adana has appeared as an actress, dancer, and production team member in several theatre, television, and film productions across the Gulf Coast for many years. In addition to acting, Christian is also an Adjunct Professor, Dance Instructor, and Cheerleading coach.

In January Mykal Sanders will be attending Texas Southern University where he will study Education and Theatre. Favorite credits include “Mereb” in Aida, “Paul” in A Chorus Line, “Daddy” in The Bluest Eye, and “Papa Ge” in Once on This Island.

Krystal Uchem is very excited to return to Firecracker! You may remember her from the virtual production of Pedigree. Her other acting credits include Pretty Fire and School Girls; or the African Mean Girls Play (The Ensemble Theatre), Twilight: Los Angeles, 1992 (Dirt Dogs Theatre Company), Escaping Inward (Fade to Black Play Festival), Rhyme and Reason (Express Children's Theater), and more.

Kendrick "KayB" Brown has a degree in Drama from PVAMU and after graduating started teaching in HISD. Currently teaching at Austin High School (FBISD) for his 3rd year, but has been in education for the last 14 years. He has been on many stages and is blessed to have his debut at Firecracker in Pipeline.

Justin Walker has appeared in several theater productions. You may have seen him in A Raisin in the Sun, Miss Evers Boys, and Thorns, to name just a few.

Barbara Brandt has been seen in the Houston area at Theatre Southwest, Pasadena Little Theater, and Tapestry Players. She is happy not to be an ingenue anymore and to be playing roles of real substance. Barbara has a BFA in Acting from Boston University’s School for the Arts, teaches music at St. Luke’s Day School, and is thrilled to be making her debut with Firecracker Productions.
