I would love it if each of you can come in for a pre-night, leaving the U.S. on June 9, 2022 and arriving in Copenhagen on June 10, 2022. On the evening of June 10th, a complimentary dinner at a local restaurant will be provided by Travel by Erin. The next day would then allow time for "A day out in Copenhagen with Erin." If you are unable to join us for the pre-night, don't worry we will meet you on the evening of the 11th when we meet our tour director at our hotel.

The Itinerary

Travel day June 9, 2022- if you are coming in for a pre-night you would leave the U.S for an overnight flight to Copenhagen, Denmark.

Pre night June 10, 2022- WELCOME TO DENMARK! Did you know Denmark is referred to as one of the happiest countries on earth? After you arrive please get settled into the hotel. This evening we will meet in the lobby then walk to a local restaurant for dinner & drinks, courtesy of Travel by Erin.

Day 1. June 11, 2022-COPENHAGEN.

  • A day out in Copenhagen with Travel by Erin. After breakfast let's meet in the lobby. I have hired a private guide to take us on a tour of Copenhagen, complimentary to you of course.
  • Our local guide will tell us about Danish history, Danish culture and interesting facts about the city.
  • During the trip, we will also take a private 1-hour canal cruise through the city.
  • Lastly, we will finish up at the Copenhagen Food Halls. Our guide will talk about Danish food and show us a few of his favorite food stalls.
  • The tour will end at approximately 1:30 pm. From there you can go enjoy lunch, shopping or sightseeing on your own. Tonight we meet our Globus tour director and enjoy an included dinner hosted by Globus.

Day 2. June 12, 2022-COPENHAGEN.

  • Guided sightseeing includes the royal reception rooms in Christiansborg Palace, and The Little Mermaid statue.
  • Free afternoon before visiting Tivoli Gardens. Entrance included, rides are an additional cost.
  • Meals included today: BREAKFAST

Day 3. June 13, 2022-COPENHAGEN–GOTHENBURG, SWEDEN–OSLO, NORWAY.

  • ELSINORE Ferry crossing to Helsingborg, Sweden.
  • GOTHENBURG Orientation drive. Globus Local Favorite Visit the indoor food market and taste local snacks.
  • OSLO- arrive in the evening.
  • Meals included for today: BREAKFAST & DINNER

Day 4. June 14, 2022- OSLO, NORWAY.OSLO

  • Guided sightseeing includes a walk in FROGNER PARK with Gustav Vigeland’s extraordinary sculptures.
  • Visit CITY HALL, where the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony is held each year.
  • Meals included today: BREAKFAST

  1. PANORAMIC OSLO AND DINNER: Enjoy a scenic drive to Oslo's historic Holmenkollen ski resort, and enjoy breathtaking views of the city and its fjord before savoring a delicious dinner at an area restaurant.
  2. TREASURES OF NORWAY: Admire relics from Norway's great seafaring past.

Day 5. June 15, 2022-OSLO TO STOCKHOLM SWEDEN.

  • Beautiful and scenic drive from Oslo to Stockholm.
  • Meals included today: BREAKFAST

Day 6. June 16, 2022- STOCKHOLM.

  • Guided walking tour of the Old Town.
  • Visit the City Hall and a Globus Local Favorite a visit to the Vasa Ship Museum.
  • Meals included today: BREAKFAST

* Optional excursion this evening: SKANSEN OPEN-AIR MUSEUM & SWEDISH DINNER. Learn about midsummer, the most important family celebration of the year. Then treat your taste buds to a special dinner at a cozy local restaurant featuring the delightfully contrasting flavors of authentic Swedish cuisine.

*On your own: You can sign up for a lantern ghost and vampire tour. Visit the Abba Museum, Royal Palace, The Nordic Museum or have a drink at an Ice Bar. Sail or kayak the canals. There is time this evening and the next morning to enjoy the city at leisure.

Day 7. June 17, 2022-STOCKHOLM.

  • STOCKHOLM Free time this morning.
  • Overnight cruise with dinner to Helsinki
  • Meals included: BREAKFAST AND DINNER

*Optional daytime excursion during free time. SWEDISH COUNTRYSIDE & OLD UPPSALA: Explore Sweden's prehistoric countryside and the ancient religious, economic, and political center of Gamla Uppsala on this outstanding trip.

DAY 8. June 18, 2022- HELSINKI.

  • Guided sightseeing includes the Lutheran Cathedral, Sibelius Monument, and the open-air market.

*Optional excursion, ferry to Estonia: HIGHLIGHTS OF TALLINN, JEWEL OF ESTONIA: Encounter the highlights of Tallinn on this superb guided excursion to the capital of Estonia, the smallest of the Baltic countries.

Ideas for your leisure day if you are not interested in taking the optional excursion to Tallin: Take a Boat to the Fortress of Sveaborg & the Suomenlinna Islands. Enjoy some Finnish rides at Linnanmäki Amusement Park. See a few local museums such as the Museum of Contemporary Art, Finnish National Museum of Art, or The National Museum of Finland. Take a Stroll in Central Park, join a food or walking tour. Maybe you hop on a tram and see where the day takes you.

Day 10. June 20, 2022- For Option #1.  Your tour will end this morning in Helsinki. Flights back to the U.S. are in the morning or the afternoon. If you would prefer to extend your stay in Helsinki please let me know so I can get a rate for you to stay in the same room another night.

Pricing

This tour is open to the public until sold out.

Our group rate is much less than the public rates since this was a rebooked trip from 2020. Everyone joining Travel by Erin can also enjoy the savings!

  • Option #1. The tour cost is $2519 per person when sharing a room with another person. Please connect with me for a single occupancy rate. If you wish to have a room to yourself.
  • If you choose to come in early, the pre-night in Copenhagen is $142 per person. ( I am buying dinner for the pre night and taking you on a tour early in the morning.)
  • Option#2. Northern Capitals and continuing to Russia for an additional 6 nights the cost is $4569 per person when sharing a room with someone. Please connect with me for single occupancy rates.
  • Airfare will be an additional cost to the above rates.
  • The arrival shuttle in Copenhagen is $35 per person or you may opt to take local transit or a taxi.
  • Return shuttle is included when purchasing your airfare through Globus. Should you decide to book airfare on your own the one-way shuttle to the Moscow airport is $55 per person.
  • Booking a shuttle on your own or taking a taxi is also available.

Travel Insurance is highly recommended and will be available to accept or decline in the booking form.

This trip is open to anyone that wants to join in so spread the news to someone you know that would enjoy this experience traveling with me and fun people like you! Minimum age requirement 8 years old

Included meals

  • Breakfast daily.
  • Those coming in for a pre night -1 dinner hosted by Erin.
  • 4 -dinners included during the main tour.
  • 2 additional dinners included for those continuing on to Russia.

Deposits

  • $250 deposit per person to secure your space.
  • It is important this year to get this in as quickly as possible. I am not holding unreserved space so the tour can sell out at any time to the public.

Final Payment date

  • Final payment will be due on or before April 1, 2022.

Roommates

When you place your deposit and fill out the booking form, I will need you to tell me who your roommate will be. You will need to have a discussion with them because if they cancel you will now have an increased single occupancy charge if you travel as a single. If you both buy the "Cancel for any reason insurance" you will be price protected should your roommate cancel.

Insurance

Always highly recommend as life happens!! This will cover you for medical, missed connections, trip delays and more. The "Cancel for any reason" through Globus is $249 per person for option #1. For option #2 visiting Russia, the cost of the insurance will be $299 per person. Refunds would be in the form of a voucher for future travel, cash back or mix of both depending on when and why you cancel. It will also price protect you if your roommate cancels but both of you must purchase the plan. Third party insurance can be quoted as well.

Travel Documentation

Each person will need a valid passport, with at least 6 full months before the expiration date from the day we arrive in Europe.

A VISA is required to enter Russia, please see the link below to review how you should obtain this required document.
