On Thursday 28th June, 2018 from 1.30PM to 5PM, Dr Tim Kitchen and a team from Adobe Education will be running an information session based on how and why Adobe Creative Cloud applications are making a positive difference in Education & Traimning across the globe.

Nepean Arts & Design Centre - TAFE NSW

Western Sydney Region

2 O'Connell St, Kingswood NSW (enter via Gate 2)

Building T Auditorium ( T.G.6/7)

The focus of this event will be:

  • Sharing what is new in the world of Adobe's media & communication tools
  • Hands on image manipulation workshop with Adobe Photoshop
  • Portfolio building with Behance, Adobe Portfolio & InDesign
  • Workshop option on video production with Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Getting to know the Adobe Spark tools for simple & quick digital productions
  • Lots of key resources to take away
  • Sharing some of the findings from Adobe's recent research into preparing students for an automated workplace

Thanks to an enterprise agreement between Adobe & TAFE NSW, Adobe Creative Cloud applications are now available on TAFE NSW computers. This includes, Photoshop for image manipulation, Premiere Pro for video editing, Acrobat for PDF management, InDesign for desktop publishing, Illustrator for vector graphics, Lightroom for photography, Spark for social graphics, videos & webpages (like this one), Character Animator for real-time animation, Experience Design for App design and much more. All the tools for the modern student and teacher who are increasingly working in digital realms, and like to produce media and not just consume it.

TAFE NSW students read, write, think, and communicate in digital, networked environments. Adobe tools are for any course and any area of training because digital media production is a 21st century real world literacy.

Training institutions, universities and K12 school across the globe are revising their curricula with an increasing emphasis on experiential learning, interdisciplinary approaches, and an array of literacies.
