Little Reds Leadership Program

Missouri Valley Elementary is starting a new leadership program this year! Students completed applications to the program and were interviewed by a team of interviewers on Wednesday, November 14th. Elementary students had several "job" options they could interview for. Over 120 students applied for Student Leadership positions. The team was thrilled to have so many amazing students apply who care so much about their school.

Little Reds Leadership Program Purpose

The Missouri Valley Elementary Leadership Program will help kids build confidence and succeed in activities like group projects, team sports, clubs, etc. This program will also give students a sense of accountability and responsibility to their school. Students will learn important life skills and have the opportunity to make a difference in their school community.

Meet the Interview Team

Clint Sargent, Patti Oldberg, Jamie Rejda, Beau Caddell, Sommer Chambers, & Kellin Chambers

Clint Sargent

Clint is the Market Director for Crossroads of Western Iowa Missouri Valley/Harrison County. Clint also serves the Missouri Valley community in a variety of ways. He is part of the Iowa Commission of Persons with Disabilities where he serves as Commissioner. He is a member of the Missouri Valley Kiwanis, BSA Boy Scouts of America Leader, and attends the Church of the Nazarene and serves as a board member. Clint is married to his wife, Meg, of 19 years. Clint and Meg have two sons, Nathan (Senior @ MVHS), and Tony (Sophomore @ MVHS).

Patti Oldberg

Patti is a retired MVCSD teacher. She taught kindergarten for 20 years, first grade for one year, second grade for 10 years, and third grade for one year! Patti has been a member of the Missouri Valley community for 35 years! She has two daughters and two grandchildren! Patti's interests include reading, boating, and spending time with her grandkids.

Jamie Rejda

Jamie is the Technology Coordinator for MVCSD.

I am so excited to be a part of the Student Leadership committee at our school. I believe it will offer confidence and other positive experiences to students.

Sommer Chambers

Sommer Chambers is the new STRAT 2 Special Education Teacher at Missouri Valley Elementary. This is her first year teaching and can't think of a better school to be at! Sommer is orginally from California but has lived in Iowa for four years with her husband and their cat, Annie.

"I am so glad to be part of our school's student leadership program. I think it is such a great opportunity for students to grow socially and to take some pride in our school."

Kellin Chambers

Kellin is married to MVE teacher, Sommer Chambers. Kellin and his family farm. He also runs his own Agriculture Retail and Consulting Business.

"I believe it is critical to teach and promote leadership within our youth to foster a strong and intelligent generation."
