Nature on Display
Out of all the exhibits in the museum, though all interactive and immersive in a way, the most immersive for me was the Butterfly Garden at the end of our tour. While the other exhibits were recreations of habitats made to look real, the Butterfly Garden was a recreation that was real, which made the experience that much more beautiful and meaningful. The exhibit was in a circular shape, which made it feel even wider and more encompassing than what I first thought. It was rife with vegetation, blooming with flowers in many different types of colors and extra additions like the waterfalls in the small crooks behind the trees. I think this exhibit exemplifies the feeling of seeing nature through an image versus going out and seeing it face to face, as I was able to appreciate a scene with all my senses, which made it all the more memorable.
