Rodent Control is Paramount

o Keep multiple bait boxes around hog barns and maintain them regularly
o Close curtains weekly (primarily in naturally ventilated barns) to keep out water and rodents and increase the life of your curtains
o Mow grass around the barn regularly—this not only reduces rodent infestation, it also improves ventilation, reduces mold and algae growth, and keeps the place looking nice
o Don’t leave trash around the barn (this includes broken feedlines, stacks of pallets, discarded materials, etc.)
