Carving By davId

To start carving choose a Picture. I choose a picture showing the logo of Navy Pier Celebrating 100 years.

Using Photoshop I edited and changed the photo because to much details and small parts won't carve out nicely.

You upload the image to easel by pressing upload then look for it in a folder or drag it in. Try having a little space around the edge and enlarge or thicken the word or design parts if it's in red. Then click the cut depth and make it 3/16" if it's not in red still the machine will carve it. After select the whole image and move the cut depth to 1/16".

Choose a HDPE tile the color that will show and the color that will be carved out.

Put the tile you chose in the machine called Carvey by the inventables. Then press simulate to see how long it will take to carve. After press carve.

It's carving!

Here is how my carving looks like when it finished. It did look weird but I liked it. You should try it one day.
