I am more than an interview.

My name is Kyle and I am currently a freshman at Minnesota State University Moorhead. First off, your are probably wondering "why did he make this?" Well, I can tell you that I always try to go the extra mile to make myself stand out from the rest and give 100% of my best effort. I know that I did not have to do this presentation...but I wanted too. Next, I will address the pictures above. Those picture symbolize my "crazy" side. Nobody is perfect, all of my other photos on here fully resemble who I am as well. Nobody is a perfect robot. I try to do my very best that I possibly can, all the time. I love dealing with customers and customer problems. I also love dealing with kids.

My Disney Background

When I came across this internship online, I new that this program was for me. I will not say that I am obsessed with Disney, basically because that is way overused. In my mind, that is an obvious fact considering I am applying for this program.I am going to say however that I have been quite fond of your company throughout my life. My family and I went to Florida over winter break and we would go to the beach, lay around and just relax. The time that we spent in Fort Myers was second to none. Then on our last two days of our vacation, I kicked into overdrive. I spent several months planning our Disney vacation. I would crunch budgets, come up with a spreadsheet, develop an itinerary, made FastPass+ reservations (once the system rolled out), found our hotel, and the list goes on and on. We would go to one Disney theme park each year. I have personally been to all of the parks and one of your mini-golf courses. In addition to our Disney vacation I planned everything else. I also monitored airplane prices, found our rental car, and much more. Finally, in July 2015 I took on a large project. My aunt and uncle were having a family reunion at the Walt Disney World resort for one full week. They put me in charge of the entire trip (besides finding airfare). They were going to leave May, 2015. The family reunion consisted of 24 people. I ended up making multiple calls, messages, statements and emails between all of them. I managed to make their reservations with the rides that they chose, sat most of the entire party of 24 together at meals, managed transportation details, itineraries, general tips/information and a lot more. This was a lengthy project but one that I enjoyed a lot. I ended up being compensated for my time. That was a bonus that I was not expecting. I would have done it for free. Overall, I have a profound love for Disney and I will continue to have one for a very, very long time.

What would I bring to Disney?

I have been constantly commended for my positive attitude, strong work ethic and my quality of perseverance quality.

Why would this internship benefit me?
This internship will enhance my college experience, not only socially but professionally as well. It would be once in a lifetime experience to serve under a Fortune 500 company.

I have recently come to the realization of my future major in college. I have decided to pursue a career in Elementary Education. It is for this reason why I want to have an internship where I deal directly with parents and kids. I would love a position where I get to deal directly with kids and parents. This skill would help me for my future to deal with upset parental situations as well as children situations as welI. I am the child of two highly respected education professionals and based on their reactions the best part of teaching is the kids and (sometimes) the worst part can be the parents. Upon my observations, I have noticed that guests tend to be more distressed when they are trying to book Fastpass+ experiences. I have disclosed many reasons as to what I look for in an internship position now I am going to provide some positions that I would least prefer. These places include custodial, merchandising, housekeeping. hotel positions. food services/vendors, or as a character attendant. You might be asking why. The reason is because I have worked a summer as a housekeeper/custodial services in my hometown hotel, I worked for four years as a park retail sales representative in merchandising and food services.

My town has 2000 people. I guess my main idea is that I want to come to your program trying something totally new and gaining a new area of experience for my future career. I do not AT ALL mean that that your program is not useful and I am more than glad to accept any position offered to me! We can also discuss all of this information during our potential phone interview.

the story continues.

Upon request, I am willing to supply any documentation that is needed.
