Nutrition Project By Myayuna Williams

Throughout the first week that I was keeping track of my meals, I noticed that I was always over the limit with my Protein intake and always under with my Fruits and Vegetables. The latter shocked me because I'm more of a vegetable person than anything , so to find out I barely eat enough was strange.

The second week, I tried to change a few things about my meal. I told my mom to add more vegetables to our meals and buy more fruit when she's at the grocery store. I also, tried to limit my protein intake, which didn't work like I thought it would according to my food groups summary , but I did notice a change in my energy. I was a lot more Energetic than the previous week, which kept me alert while on my jobs.

Overall, the two weeks showed me that I should, one: Start eating a lot more Fruit and Veggies, two: Cut down on the protein by a lot, and three: Exercise a lot more

What is Chromium?

Chromium is a mineral that humans require in trace amounts. There are two types ,but the one we need is Chromium (3+). It's found within some vegetables and animal skins in extremely low amounts.

What does it do to the body?

  1. It monitors the blood sugar.
  2. It aids in metabolism.
  3. It reduces food craving.
  4. It regulates fat and cholesterol.
  5. It prevents hypertension.

Should I take Chromium Supplements?

Since Chromium is only needed in trace amounts, I believe if you think any of those problems apply to you, you should probably try to incorporate foods with Chromium within them before you go to a supplement. There is no real effect, noted in humans, if you take too much or too little Chromium, but it may make a positive effect on you if you have Diabetes.
