The First Day of School
Welcome to another exciting school year at Baker Middle School! The administration and staff are finalizing their preparations for the return of our Bobcats. The energy in our building and across the district is contagious. We had an amazing week of professional development, the TSD maintenance and operation crews are putting the final touches on the building, and I'm sure many of you are completing your back to school shopping. The first day of school is Tuesday, August 28th. This will be a half-day. Students will attend all 6 of their classes and receive their syllabi along with other important information about their classes. All students will receive a new copy of their schedule in their 1st hour class. If you do not have your schedule or know your child's first hour class, don't worry! We have you covered. There will be a list of every student's first hour classes in the hallway outside the main office. Picture make-up day is September 11th.
iPads: If you have not picked up your iPad, our building tech will individually meeting with your student to get them their device and help with the set-up. When students are called down to pick-up their iPad, they will also receive a copy of the Student Responsibility Form. This year the school district is offering an optional insurance policy to cover damage and breaks. Please click on the following link to access the forms.
Transportation: By now, all bus riding students should have received their assigned bus information. If you have not received this information or have concerns about your child's bus stop, please click on the link provided below to contact the TSD Transportation department. Please remember to verify your child's bus number with them so that they are prepared to locate it at the end of the day. Students taking courses at the high school and elementary students taking math courses at Baker will attend their home school only on the first day school. Shuttles will only run on full and early release days. Follow up communication and reminders will be sent when the shuttles are not running.

Washington DC Trip
There will be a parent meeting Thursday, September 6th at 6pm. Mr. MacIntosh will provide information about the trip, answer parent questions, go over the schedule, payment reminders, medical information, and packing instructions.
