Joyce is considered one of the foremost leaders of the modernism movement. He introduced many new writing styles that had never been seen before. He is known for popularizing the stream of consciousness tyle n which the reader is taken through the thoughts of the protagonist. some critics championed his work, while others condemned it. Either way there is no doubt that Joyce was one if the most important figures of literature in the 20th century
