2017 DREAM SHOOT PLANNER by Joleen vincent

Women are sentimental, misbehaved and independent creatures that deserve a chance to be photographed free of judgment. It's more than just a photo shoot, it's an opportunity to experiment and find powerful new ways of expressing yourself.

The Boudoir Session

The BOUDOIR session is a 90-minute private boudoir photo shoot that includes up to 3 outfit changes...

Boudoir sessions include the private use of my hotel suite or studio during your session AND a complimentary hair and makeup application!

Pre-shoot wardrobe consultation is included.

This type of photo shoot requires a little bit of pre-planning, and I want to make sure you are wearing the best lingerie for your body type. When you book a session you will be asked to fill out a questionnaire and based on your answers I will email you my wardrobe recommendations and lingerie guide. I can help you avoid a few common mistakes and save you a little time and money with this process. :)

The BOUDOIR session fee is $550 and includes:

- 90-minute private photo shoot photographed by Joleen Vincent

- pre-shoot wardrobe consultation & lingerie guide

- complimentary hair & makeup application

- you will receive a $200 CREDIT toward your hotel or studio rental fee (typically this is enough to cover all expenses). Occasionally the rental fees may be higher due to weekend rates or the availability the hotel or studio you would like to reserve for your photo shoot. When you select your location, I will always let you know in advance if there are going to be any additional fees.

- posing coaching and instructions during the shoot

- magazine quality retouching on all of your purchased images

BOUDOIR VS CREATIVE

BOUDOIR sessions are photographed in a hotel, private bedroom or studio... but the CREATIVE session is traditionally photographed on-location; such as flower farms, vineyards or beaches. What do you consider a dream location for your photo shoot?

The Creative Session

The CREATIVE session is a 90-minute on-location photo shoot that includes up to 3 outfit changes...

Creative Locations

Choose from multiple destinations; flower farms, vineyards, private homes, beaches, etc. Your session location will be selected by you during the pre-shoot consultation.

The CREATIVE session fee is $250 and includes:

- 90-minute creative photo shoot photographed by Joleen Vincent

- pre-shoot location consultation

- pre-shoot wardrobe consultation and Lingerie Guide

- posing coaching and instructions during the shoot

- magazine quality retouching on all of your purchased images

What happens after the photo shoot?

I will lovingly retouch your photos within 2- 3 business days and we will meet at your home if that is most convenient, or we will meet at a local cafe or restaurant, find a private booth and view your photos while we chat over coffee or cocktails. Typically I will have selected and edited about 50 - 60 of the best images from the shoot, and I will walk you through selecting YOUR favorite images from the session and how best to display them in your home or more discreetly, we can create a boudoir album that slips into your underwear drawer. The turnaround time is approx. 3 - 6 weeks after you place an order to receive your finished products. Please let me know ASAP if you need a product on shorter notice and I will try to meet your needs if possible.

Q&A

What do I need to bring with me on the day of the shoot?

Not very much! I recommend arriving in sweatpants, without a bra or underwear (so you don't have red marks on your skin from your underwear). I will have bottled water for you, and if we are shooting in a hotel or studio, the bed linens and white sheets are provided as well. You will most likely bring a small bag with 3 outfits, a pair of nude and/or black high heels and a few miscellaneous pieces of jewelry and accessory items.

What happens if I get nervous, can't find anything to wear or if I have more questions?

You should totally call or text me (916-905-3075) during my business hours and I will get right back to you! Don't be afraid to let me know what is going on what your vision is for your photo shoot. For example, if you can't find any lingerie to wear for your photo shoot, I can help you come up with alternative outfits, or we can switch to implied nudes in white sheets! There is nothing sexier than images where your body is completely covered in a crisp white sheet, but your eyes and your body language says otherwise... ;) I am here to help you with this once in a lifetime experience.

What happens if I book a photo shoot that does NOT include hair and makeup?

I would first recommend you reach out to a makeup artist that you know on a personal level and TRUST. If you do not have someone you can 100% trust, I recommend contacting Luxe (contact information below), I have had good luck with their stylists in the past and they are located just a few blocks away from the hotels and studios that I typically book for boudoir sessions.

If you are unable to get an appointment with Luxe and/or you do not wish to pay extra for hair and makeup service here are some tips for you!

DIY Hair & Makeup Tips:

- When doing your own makeup for a photo shoot, you will want to apply heavier makeup than normal. Not different makeup, or different colors, but use a heavy hand so your makeup shows up better on camera (similar to how theater stage actors use heavy makeup so it can be seen from far away). The same concept applies to a boudoir photo shoot. Don't go crazy or anything! Just keep the concept in mind.

- Use concealer under your eyes, foundation, blush to define your cheeks, lots of eyeliner to define your eyes, use lots of mascara and curl your eyelashes.

- Fill in your eyebrows with a gray pencil (for dark brown to black hair) or fill in your eyebrows with a brown pencil for lighter color hair.

- If in doubt, USE NEUTRAL COLORS. Light browns, golds, pinks, warm champagne colors are excellent colors to choose for eyeshadows or to use as a bronzer on the face.

- I would recommend a lipstick that can be neutral, such as a nude, champagne or light colored shimmer. Or you can go bold with a red lipstick. I recommend using a nude color lip pencil to outline your lips first, followed by a lip color like Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Liquid Lip Color in Top Tomato .... or Burt's Bee Lip Shimmer in Cocoa, Caramel, Peony, Apricot or Champagne.

- I don't recommend applying fake eyelashes UNLESS this is something you have had practice with and you know how to apply your own lashes. The day of your photo shoot is NOT a good day to practice that skill. ;) If you feel you need help with your lashes, I suggest having lash extensions done prior to your photo shoot and/or recruiting a savvy friend to help you apply a set of fake eyelashes for you. (The ones from the drug store work GREAT but they require lots of practice to apply them correctly).

- Style your hair as you would for a date night. I personally like to use a dry shampoo on my dry hair style, to add a little volume to my hair instead of teasing it.

Should I spray tan or wax before my photo shoot?

No, I discourage you from having a spray tan or waxing done with 2- 3 days of any photo shoot. Spray tans leave the hands and feet different colors and waxing if not something you do on a regular basis, can cause breakouts. In general, avoid trying new skin or hair treatments right before your shoot.
