foodspace

foodspacetech.com

Ayo Oshinaike: Northeastern University, D'Amore-McKim School of Business ‘16

Foodspace powers ecommerce through the creation of digital tools, information, and technologies for the entire CPG commercial value chain and organization using computer vision and machine learning. Today’s consumer products goods (CPG) brands struggle when it comes to the shift from physical retail to digital shelf. The online grocery shopping experience demands higher quality and quantity of data to support consumer discovery and inventory management online. The problem is that traditional product information capture is manual, creating a slow and tedious process that has many inaccuracies, does not match retail formats, and lacks customer centric attributes to be useful. Foodspace customers are winning when it comes to the shift from physical retail to digital by having one source of truth with a rich, accurate, and scalable set of thousands of product attributes that allow them to capture more revenue by presenting more relevant product choices to end-consumers, while also alerting the brands about out of stock items on their retail partners’ digital shelves. With unstructured data and product images, we provide CPG customers and their partners with access to key content to increase sales while preparing them for the future of commerce with #JustGoodData.

John Schindler

Liquet Medical was founded with the vision of reimagining vascular drug delivery. Liquet’s founders have deep domain expertise in vascular therapies. The company’s first product is aimed at the treatment of pulmonary embolism, which is similar to a heart attack except that it occurs in the lungs. Pulmonary embolism (PE) is the 3rd leading cause of cardiovascular death and the US market is well over $200MM/year with a CAGR of 20+%—and growing rapidly. Liquet’s PE Catheter is a patent-protected drug-delivery catheter that will benefit both the patient and the hospital—physicians will be able to treat this deadly disease in half the time and for half the cost. The regulatory path is straightforward and the company has already engaged a catheter-specialized contract manufacturer. Liquet is currently seeking seed-round funding of $1.4MM, which will bring this product through FDA clearance and a US launch.

mount

Madison Rifkin: Northeastern University, D’Amore-McKim School of Business '21

Mount offers the first micro-mobility amenity for hospitality. Mount’s scooter fleets and software help hospitality providers make more money and enhance their guest experience—and the company is going after a $125B industry. Mount’s team of mobility experts from Jump, Lime, Uber, and Lyft saw the shortcomings with large fleet operations—both scooter and car—and designed a better all in one platform to launch micro fleets of e-vehicles. By leveraging a smart lock and fleet management software, Mount cuts out 90% of costs, as well as the need for government approval.
