National Junior Honor Society Book Swap

Attention MS students and families: Do you have books lying around the house that you've finished reading? Want a new book, but don't feel like going all the way to the bookstore?

Drop off your used books in the 515 Building collection bin outside Mrs. Wallace's classroom. The collection is in preparation for our National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) January Book Swap, when students can bring a book and take a book. Thank you for your support!

Questions? Please email Mrs. Wallace and check out her Collegium Employee Spotlight video to match her face to her name.

Arrival and Dismissal Line Reminder

Stay off your cell phones and tablets while in line, especially when “at the curb” for loading and unloading. Phone and tablet use interferes with safe driving and limits your ability to promptly move your vehicle as the line progresses.

Collegium Center Stage Theatre Interest Meeting

Participants will rotate through a series of dance, acting, and vocal workshops presented by seasoned performers and directors. Participation in the workshops is not a requirement for auditions, but CCST hopes all student performers will take advantage of this learning opportunity.

CCS Employee Spotlight

This Newsletter section highlights one Collegium employee each week and allows families and students to get to know them even more. Now, when you see featured employees on campus, you'll have a better chance of being able to greet them by name and strike up conversations!

From the CCS Home and School Association (HSA)

Serving in a capacity similar to a Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) or Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO), our HSA owes its success to the efforts of our many parent, teacher, and staff volunteers!

PAW-sitive Praise

1. The HSA and Collegium's Curriculum & Assessment Department are still amazed by the family participation and enthusiasm shown during our recent Parent University evening. The feedback received was overwhelmingly positive. Families should anticipate updates on another Parent University event in the not-too-distant future.

2. A very special "Thank You" to the parents/guardians who attended the 2nd HSA Public Meeting of the 2016-2017 school year. Your presence and input were highly valued. We look forward to many more families attending our meetings as the year progresses.
