Portrait of My Mother zenia dela cruz

I commissioned an oil painting of my mother @mazenia from the artist @paulaquinoart and I want to share the finished work with the world.

Here she is in her elements: holding a camera in her beloved Union Square taking photos of flowers (one of her favorite subjects and hobbies). Paul captured the light in her eyes, the beauty of her soul, and the radiance of her being.

My siblings (@rafe_totengco @rafenewyork @maricarct ) and I have been or is famous for one thing or another but we wouldn't be where we are without our mother's unconditional love, support and guidance. She is the root of us, our rock and shining star.

It was a rainy day when we met at Union Square. Paul shadowed us and took BTS photos of Mom. From the roll we chose these two photos which would be the source of her pose and her face.

Source photos. Mom's face lights up when she smiles.
