Week 5 - term 5a

Star of the week.

Letia was six this week. She brought in an awesome cake, she looked so sweet on it!

In mantle we set up the island where the turtle was last seen. We used geographical language to support our learning. On the island was a mountain, beach, forest and a large tree. We knew it was an island as it was surrounded by water. We don’t know where in the world the island is. Next step is to investigate and hopefully get there.

Attitude, spins, baby spins and slides. It is not easy being a break dancer.

Responding to a familiar text. We read ‘Dinosars and all that Rubbish’ we thought carefully about the main character. Our next job is to follow the emotions of the man.

Lots of discussion about the world and animals this week. We used see saw to record our thoughts about sorting animals. We also thought about the effect human shave on the planet. We were alarmed with the pollution in the ocean. We also talked about the fact that there is a possibility that there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish, in the near future.

The school nurse came into school, she showed us how to clean our teeth properly. We also learnt which foods could damage our teeth. It is so important that we look after our teeth, and our bodies.
