HOW THE BLOODY RED SHRIMP MIGRATES TO NEW AREAS
The Bloody red shimp is an invasive species that is getting over populated because of ships carrying ballast tanks from place to place.
Classification
DESCRIPTION OF ITS NATURAL HABITAT AND ECOSYSTEM
Did you know the Bloody red shrimp came from Europe and ended up all the way in the Black sea, Azov sea and the Caspian sea? Another way on how they are spreading is they become a adult in only 45 days which means they can populate a lot quicker than humans. But their life span is only 9 months. So we think that is has mostly got to do with the ships carrying ballast tanks.
INVASIVE IMPACTS
They travel in groups to scare away its predators so they don't eat them. Scientists believe that the bloody red shrimp is eating and DESTROYING habitats and have the ability to multiply rapidly which could threaten native species. hey but on the side at least they wont come extinct.
EFFORTS TO CONTROL THE BLOODY RED SHRIMP
At the moment for what people are dong about these shrimp is they have put up electric barriers to stop them from going to other lakes, but this does not lower the population of the Bloody red shrimp.
CONCLUSION
So in conclusion i think we need more people doing something about these shrimp before they spread to every lake that is possible for them to get to!
