"But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life." - John 4:14
Zakiya Gift, Community Member
“My name is Zakiya and I have fetched water from this borehole for over twenty years now. Before the rehabilitation, our borehole broke down all the time and I would either fetch water from the valley, which is three kilometres away from my home, or Ugujabe borehole, which is five kilometres away. I have five children all of whom go to school so whenever we didn’t have water in the house, my children would miss school because they wouldn’t be able to bathe. Sometimes, they had to forego lunch because we didn’t have water to cook.”
“Thank you so much, Neverthirst, for helping us to rehabilitate our well. Without your support, we wouldn’t have been able to afford the repairs as a community. We now have clean water near our homes because of you. Awadifo (Thank you)!
Jurugo Omar, Chairperson, Water User Committee
“I would like to extend my appreciation to East African Ministries and Neverthirst for the support they have provided the community of Kena through the rehabilitation of our borehole. “
“All our pipes were damaged before the rehabilitation resulting in very low water yield. Sometimes, the borehole would supply only 10 jerry cans in one hour, or the water level would drop really low for close to six hours. Due to this, many of our women experienced so much difficulty in looking for water in far away villages since the only borehole in Kena was simply a burden.”
“Today, more than 280 households fetch water from this borehole without any problems. Thank you for quenching the thirst of our people!”
