Allen Field House - Home Ground of the Kansas Jayhawks Initial construction cost was 2.4 million dollars when if was first built, (22.4 Million Dollars in 2017) Can hold up to 17,000 people, Since 1994, the Jayhawks have gone 296–15 at home. Since 2007, they have gone 140–3, making Allen Field house statistically greatest home-court advantage in all of sports during this time. ESPN-Magazine also named it the loudest college basketball arena.
James Naismith

James Naismith and The Kansas Jayhawks

James Naismith is notoriously known for inventing the game of basketball at age 30 in 1891. He wrote the original basketball rule book and founded the University of Kansas basketball program. Seven years after inventing basketball, Naismith received his medical degree in Denver in 1898. He then arrived at the University of Kansas, later becoming the Kansas Jayhawk's athletic director and coach.

Big 12 Tournament/Championship - The Big 12 is made up of ten teams, (10 because two teams left). at the end of each season these ten teams will compete for the big 12 title, Seeding is based on regular season records. There has been 20 total championships, and the Kansas Jayhawks bring home the most with an astonishing ten championships. (Two periods in time winning 3 in a row)
Conclusion - The Kansas Jayhawks have attracted many fans over the years, the tradition of bringing friends and family together has always been a prime focus, however never losing sight, of the heart of basketball originating in Lawrence Kansas, and the most important tradition of all.... Victory.
