The Second Amendment says that people should be able to have a weapon and protect themselves. People can keep the guns on them and inside of their homes. The outrage of the colonists against the treatment and the laws. This addition to the Constitution was due to the British militia. George Washington was the First President who served in office. One of the key events was the Ratification of the second Amendment to the Constitution.

The supreme court case against the District of Columbia v.Heller the last time the supreme court interpreted the Second Amendment was in the United States v.Miller. In that case, Jack Miller and another person were indicated for transporting unregistered sawed-off shotgun across the state lines in violation of the National Firearms Act of 1934. Miller argued against many things. The District Court for the Western District of Arkansas agreed with Miller. The case was appealed directly to the supreme court which reversed the district court. The supreme court read the Second Amendment with the Militia clause. The court concluded that the District court erred in holding the National Firearms Act provision unconstitutional.

Some private companies cant have weapons like schools and some types of businesses but the federal government can. Its very unsafe for schools not to be armed because they cant protect the children. Some other places should be allowed to have guns on them. They adults should always protect the kids so that nothing bad happens. its not fair for some people to carry but not schools who actually need it.
This picture represents the words at that make up the second amendment. The different words represent other things.
