Cindy Sherman By sam waszak

Cindy Sherman was born on January 19th, 1954 in Glen Ridge, New Jersey. She grew up in Huntington, New York.

Cindy went to Buffalo State College to study different art courses. She studied painting, drawing, and photography. Cindy tried to major in painting after failing her photos class, until she realized she loved how immediate photography was and switched majors.

Cindy Sherman's work includes a lot of her self portraits, which are all very unique. Cindy was inspired by her photography instructor, Barbara Jo Revelle, who told her to "just take photos."

The photo I chose to recreate is this one. I chose this photo because it's such a unique take on a self portrait and the colors of the candy.
