Why is this important?

What do i need?

  • Meeting Criteria: On Track for Graduation, Low Number of Behavior Referrals, Attendance Rate of 75% or Better.
  • ACT Score: Most technical programs at OCTC an ACT Composite Score of 17 or higher or require.
  • HPHS: Heritage Park High School Support - You are creating the conversation piece today with the Senior Year Decisions Form.

What costs are Involved???

  • Technical programs are paid for by funds from the state paid to OCTC.
  • The creates an opportunity for you where there is no/low tuition cost.
  • DCPS pays for your technical school books.
  • You may be responsible for supplies needed for class. Example: Certification Test Fee or Welding Gloves. If financial concerns are present, there are opportunities for assistance.

Your Responsibilities

  • Students will be required to follow HPHS behavior and academic expectations while attending OCTC
  • Students will be expected to make continuing progress in both in teacher taught classes and on Edgenuity at HPHS
  • The Good News: Taking classes meets Co-Op requirement for HPHS
