Miss Nana Wyshall B. Wright Presents Miss Sassy Frass Ann

Second Wind Creations invites you to the world of Miss Nana Wyshall B. Wright. She makes sure that everything is "gonna be All Right!"

Miss Nana Wyshall B. Wright (pronounced "wish all be right") tells it like it is! She “tattles” to us about the many children she skillfully “guided” over her many years. Her wisdom, patience and honesty challenge us all to not only hear her, but to listen intently, laugh loudly and most importantly learn from each child’s humorous adventure as they encounter their own destinies.

Framed with beautiful illustrations by Adriana Carvajal , the bedtime tales of Miss Nana Wyshall B. Wright bring honesty and humor. Miss Nana Wyshall B. Wright craftily weaves her bedtime stories about the unique and charming misbehaviors of her many children. Each child in this series of bedtime tales shares an individual and special story. Miss Nana Wyshall B. Wright delights us, young and old, with her own personal “pearls of wisdom."

You can look forward to the tales of Miss Sassy Frass Ann, who becomes grounded by her own reflection; Winall Wendall, who learns that the best trophy ever is celebrating someone else’s success; Bullying Boy, who is embarrassed into humility . . . and so many more.

Miss Sassy Frass Ann is the bossiest little girl, EVER!
She's a sassy little thing, bossing everyone ... children and adults.

MISS SASSY FRASS ANN with her hands on her hips, her bottom lip poked out and her red braids bouncing in the air, is a child who “rules” her world. No one says No! or Why? to MISS SASSY FRASS ANN’s demands and commands. That is, until she boards the big, yellow bus for kindergarten, where she meets: MISS SASSY FRASS JANE, MISS SASSY FRASS KAREN, MISS SASSY FRASS MARIA . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . and just BLENDS IN.

"Our second wind is a culmination of lifetime experiences, talents and passions rolled into life-lesson, stories for every generation." - Cheryl Lewis Bevery, Co-Founder/Second Wind Creations

"I have worked professionally as a counselor and school psychologist with my practice concentrating on children that often are with perceived problems and disabilities. I say perceived because frequently a child was referred to me for evaluation because they did not 'fit in.' One such case was a young, obese, African-American girl. She was very dark with short hair, ill-fitting clothes and attended a prestigious elementary school in a middle class neighborhood. She was perceived by students and staff as 'different' and therefore as somehow disabled. My evaluation found her intellect above normal and her academic skill age and grade appropriate. What was “disabled” was her sense of self-esteem and worth that was not being fostered by her current school placement. She remained at the school and without “fitting in” found her own path to success. She is one of my “whisperers” that tells her story to Miss Nana Wyshall B. Wright. Now I share those stories with all of you through the Miss Nana Wyshall B. Wright series of bedtime stories."

"We want to transform the publishing industry with stories that help children flourish in our diverse and multicultural world." - Barbara E. Rudd, Co-Founder/Second Wind Creations

Barbara Elizabeth Rudd, MBA

"I am an entrepreneur by necessity. My business success is a result of my ability to excel in right and left brain activities. With an undergraduate degree in fine arts, my aspirations were to be an art director at an advertising agency. However, my career path took a turn in a different direction. After receiving a master's degree in business administration, I became Vice President and Western Advertising Director for an international publishing, African-American lifestyle company. Things went well until the recession hit and the Internet became the medium of choice. Fortunately for me, my fine arts skills and marketing prowess remained in tact, allowing me to explore a different career journey as co-founder of a self-publishing company."
