SURVIVOR rAJ pARIDA, mYLES HALL, SEAN B.

We were in a plane crash and we were the only survivors. We have found coordinates to where we are and we figured out we are in Niamey, the capital of Niger. We have also found out that millets nd peanuts are the only things we can grow in our region.
We are in the eastern side of Africa, we are in Niamey, Niger
We have landed in the Sahel region. The grass is not very good and most have been replaced with desert. We can't grow much vegetation so we relied on a crop that is easily grown on the Sahel.
The African Sahel is a mixed biome. The Sahel is mostly made of rain forest and desert. The soil isn't very good here and only very few crops can grow in the Sahel. Luckily, millets are one of them.
Millets are a group of highly variable small-seeded grasses. Widely grown around the world as cereal crops or grains for fodder and human food. Millets are important crops in the semiarid tropics of Asia and Africa (especially in India, Mali, Nigeria, and Niger) with 97% of millet production in developing countries. Millets grow faster than other crops so it leads to quick harvests. Millets are also good for health. Millets prevent many diseases such as hearth disease and diabetes, they also prevent hair loss and cancer. Millets also help you lose weight and help you relax. Millets will sustain our family because they grow very fast and are very healthy they will keep you on your diet.
