EHS Newsletter March Edition

The EHS Spaghetti Dinner was held in conjunction with winter carnival. We had a great turnout and would like to thank all of those community members who came out to support the event and of course the students, staff and parent volunteers who helped us out!

OSSLT March 30th - The Ontario Secondary School Literacy test will be held at EHS on March 30th. This is a requirement for graduation so all grade 10 students and any other students who have not completed the test must be in attendance, unless they have been deferred. Grade 9 students will also be required to attend in order to write a practice test. All other students will be provided with work to be completed from home on that day. If you have any questions regarding the test or if your child is eligible please contact the school.

Guidance Updates: OSAP applications can be completed in March. Once they are ready to go Mrs. Stinkowji will be meeting with college and university applicants and helping them through the application process. Volunteer Hours - Graduates are reminded that they must have their 40 hours completed by May 1. There are many opportunities upcoming in the community for all students. We strongly encourage students to complete their hours by the end of Grade 10 whenever possible.
