Watching a young boy stare at the Nerf gun he had wished for as the volunteer from Tri-City Health walked it out to deliver to him. He lit up with so much excitement and couldn't take his eyes off of his new toy.
Finally getting to rest on the pile of disassembled cardboard boxes after the crazy Palo Alto drop-off day at Stanford Research Park where 7,500 gifts were donated.
The beautifully decorated trees in the warehouse lobby representing the magnanimous support of our Holiday Wish Drive Partners: Tech CU, Star One, Illumina Foundation, Dolby, Samsung, and Kohls.
The piles of gifts that would soon be sorted and sent to the eagerly waiting recipients who wished for them. So many surprises and smiles in store!
Attending agency gift distributions, passing out gifts, and connecting with the people whom we serve. The smiles said it all.
Scooting out in front of a group of school children (and their parents) in order to see their faces when they get a first glance at the piles and rows of gifts. They are always overwhelmed.
Volunteers carefully wrapping precious gifts and loving every minute of it!
The amazing long-term volunteers. They return year after year to brave the chilly warehouse day after day but wouldn't miss it for the world!
Walking into the decorated lobby for the first time. It was a beautiful and classy transformation that sparkled with joy.
Seeing families volunteer with 3 generations. The "grandmother" brought her daughter to volunteer many years ago and now brings her granddaughter too.
