Dental Laboratory Technician Ofelia carrillo

Dental laboratory technicians use impressions, or molds of a patient's teeth to create crown, bridges, dentures, and etc. They work closely with dentists, but have limited contact with patients.

Schooling

Hutchinson Community College will cost $3500 per semester/year and a 1 - 2 year to get associate's degree or certificate.

Alternative schooling

The alternative schools would be Kansas University and Wichita state University.

Classes in high school

Biology, chemistry, algebra, exploring health occupation, english, geometry, computer skills, physical education, and speech psychology.

Positive & Negative aspects

Positive: getting to work directly with the dentist by following detailed within instructions. Negative: not getting to have contact that much with patients.
