Sumant KhanOlkar By Vikram Arora

A hero to me is someone I admire, someone who inspires me to be successful, demonstrating leadership. I will want to be like them someday. So I choose my grandfather, who demonstrates these qualities.

Sumant Khanolkar had a stroke seven months ago and still is critical condition. He has been fighting to keep going, and even through all the times something else happened or when he had to be immediately rushed to the hospital, is very heroic to me.

Like what Christopher Reeve said, not only is my grandfather going through stroke effects, he also had hardships during his childhood. As an orphan, his parents passed away when he was 10, and with his nine siblings, he had to fend off and become independent. Sumant ended up becoming very successful. The acme of his career was being the Vice President of Johnson & Johnson's. His actions are only actions that a hero like himself would take, and I feel proud and lucky to be his grandson.
