Raphael Story of a legendary painter

Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino, also known as Raphael was a Renaissance painter born on March 28, 1483 (Not to be confused with the ninja turtle with an attitude problem.) At 21, he became an apprentice to Perugino in Florence and that is where he did his first painting, the "Madonna".

Some of the things that made him famous were his paintings at the Vatican under Pope Julius II's funding, and fresco styles that were soon to become some of the Renaissance's most highly regarded works of art.

We can relate this to the Renaissance because the paintings basically told the story of the renaissance during Raphaels short life. From the Madonna that he first painted to the fresco styles he made at the very height of his career, you could tell he was a very important part of the renaissance
