Minuella E Chapman employs a combination of multidisciplinary techniques in her artwork to create poetically assembled photographic imagery and evocative multi-media installations.
In 2016-2017 she was a finalist in Collage100 LemoArt, Berlin and exhibited at ArtExpo New York with AAD Gallery and was invited to exhibit at ArtNext Expo PMQ Central, Hong Kong.
More recently, she was awarded the highly commended prize at the inaugural Kangaroo Valley Art Prize in 2018 and this year she will undertake an Artist-in-Residency at the Chateau d' Orquevaux in France. Minuella has been selected as a Finalist in the 2019 North Sydney Art Prize.
Byzantium (Arcadia) is from her latest photographic series, in these works, the artist thoughtfully blends contemporary photographic techniques with leitmotifs of memory, landscape, and the classical beauty of Greco-Roman sculpture.
