Disneyland is located in Anaheim California near the south western Pacific Coast of the United States. It covers about 100 acres of land. The size has frown over the years with the addition of new rides, live shows and places to eat. It consists of 9 different sections (lands) including main street U.S.A., adventure land, frontier land, fantasy land, tomorrow land, New Orleans square, bear country (now critter country), Mickeys toon town, and Star Wars land.

Walt Disney came up with the idea for Disneyland while going to an amusement park with his daughters. He initially wanted to build a tourist attraction by his studio in Burbank, but the space was too small. They began building Disneyland in 1954 and it opened on July 17, 1955.

Disneyland has many things to do including rides, live shows, and places to eat. Disneyland consists of 9 themed lands including: Main Street U.S.A., adventure land, frontier land, fantasy land, tomorrow land, New Orleans square, bear country(critter country), Mickey's toon town, and Star Wars land.

Disneyland rides live shows

Disneyland is open every day of the year. Tickets cost $95-$155 for adults (10 and up) and $49-$89 for kids (3-9). Millions of people visit come every year. Over 650 million people have come since it's opening. There has been more visitors to Disneyland than any other amusement park.
