No More Frogger on Mlk at longview

Crossing Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard near Longview Street has been like a real-life edition of Frogger (remember the video game?).
Two major Chapel Hill Transit bus stops are fed by off-campus student housing.
The Town of Chapel Hill worked with and received approval from the NC Department of Transportation to install a new traffic signal.
The traffic signal has one crosswalk across Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard (on the south side of the intersection),
ADA ramps for each crosswalk,
an updated sidewalk with ADA ramps in front of Millcreek Apartments,
and a crosswalk to navigate Longview Street.
The bus stop north of Longview Street is being moved just south of Longview for quick and easy access to the crossings.
Cost: $135,000, paid for with 2015 Streets and Sidewalks Bond Funds.
