Gilding is a decorative technique for applying gold leaf to a solid surface such as wood, to give a thin coating of gold.

TCDT Tutor, Tim Ritson, is an award winning conservator providing excellence in the conservation and restoration of antiques, sculpture, fine and decorative arts.
